Pupille
Pupille, è costituito da una sequenza di 35 tavolette, su ciascuna delle quali la testa è disegnata con il solo “segno” grafico della linea di contorno.
l'insolita assenza della plasticità del chiaroscuro, in questo caso e' surrogata o risarcita da dei “fori”, praticati in diverse posizioni a caso, sopra le superfici di ciascuno dei patterns, i quali fori, fungono da “pupille” magnetiche peripatetiche che guidano la pupilla dello spettatore in modo che si sposti praticando quello che potrei definire un esercizio ortottico.
l'occhio segue gli spostamenti da un foro all'altro, e poi da un punto di vista all'altro.
One of the works, classified in 2009, is composed of a sequence of 35 tablets, on each of which the head is drawn with the sole graphic sign of the contour line. The unusual absence of chiaroscuro plasticity, in this case is surrogate or compensated by holes made in different and random positions above the surfaces of each of the patterns. These holes act as moving magnetic pupils that guide the pupil of the observer so that it moves, practicing what I would call an orthoptic exercise. The eye follows the movements from one hole to another, and then from one point of view to another.
